Company History

Cooper Equipment Co. is dedicated to sales and support of most all equipment associated with the asphalt paving industry. This focus increases their ability to support those customers who need a high support level from a dealer.

Founded by Bob Cooper in 1959, Cooper Equipment Co. was established in San Antonio after acquiring E. D. Etnyre & Co., an asphalt distributor account. Operating from his home, Bob soon acquired another account, Flaherty Chipspreader and opened his very own brick and mortar office in 1961 on the now infamous Broadway St. in San Antonio.

Bob’s sons George (President) and John “Greg” along with his grandson, Matt, and granddaughter, Megan, are all part of today’s operations, which has expanded to an eight-acre property along Loop 1604 at Judson Rd. Cooper Equipment Co. has worked for over 60 years to support their customers and have now been able to expand their reach north into Georgetown off Westinghouse Rd. All manufacturers will be represented and will also be supported by expert technicians and crane-mounted service vehicles for both stores.
